Hello from Springfield, Missouri
As many of you know, Malcom was diagnosed with colon cancer in Taiwan. We returned to our home in Springfield, Missouri for surgery and treatment.

On July 12, Malcom had surgery to remove a tumor from his colon. He remains in hospital care while recovering from the surgery and other moderate complications.

We are using this blog to keep our friends and family updated on his progress. Occasionally, we will also post updates from our churches in Taiwan.

Thank you for keeping Malcom and I in your prayers.

Hello Carol,
Thank you for the update. I was just thinking..."I wonder how Malcolm is doing?:"- then I read your email [today]:) It is so uplifting to see consecration at work in the lives of other christians. God is so good: through times of blessing and adversity. I will graduate in the Fall from UMKC with a Master's in TESOL. I am very excited, and seeking God's guidance for an ESL career (overseas); or if He desires- here in KC/US.:/? Pastor Jeff mentioned (in pulpit) Spain has jobs open for English speakers to teach religion at the public Univ.'s. (Although, I really enjoy teaching children.) I continue to pray for both of you. I pray God wholly heal Malcolm.
Ps. 79:13b "we will shew forth thy praise to all generations."
In Him,
Breanna:]

Hi Carol, I think of you all the time. Funny, I DO often think of Malcom at night. I am often rocking babies at 2am. Tell him I I am praying for him them to feel the peace and calm that the baby feels. He is lucky though, only the baby must listen to me sing DoBe do Be Dooo!!!
My prayers for the doctors to work their best and for Malcom to heal quickly. Get some rest and eat some food. Love you Anna Hanks

Hi Carol and Malcom,

Bro. Simpson gave us the info on your BLOG. We've been praying and looking for an update.

We're blessed to know of God already answering prayers by giving you strength and encouragement Carol, and also for giving Malcom a good medical team.

Malcom, you'll be glad to know that my golf game hasn't improved in your absence. I think it's the PING cap you gave me. When you come back bring a Callaway. :)

Continuing to pray for God's blessings upon you both.

Love,
Dave and Terri
